Infection Prevention Guidelines for Healthcare Facilities with Limited Resources
The manual features infection prevention guidelines for outpatient settings as well as hospitals providing general medical, surgical, and obstetric services. To facilitate the manual's adaptation and use, each chapter has a set of learning objectives and is fully referenced. This allows the manual to be used in a variety of ways—as a text for preservice education, group-based training, or on-the-job learning programs, or as content for developing teaching, job, or behavior aids.

This learning resource package on CD-ROM contains both the Participant's Handbook and Trainer's Notebook. The handbook contains the course syllabus, schedule, precourse questionnaire and skills learning guides for a standard 6-day IP skills-based course. "Safe Practices in the Operating Room" (17 minutes)—safer surgery using "hands-free" techniques for passing surgical instruments.
"Infection Prevention for Healthcare Facilities with Limited Resources: Overview and Practical Training Demonstration Segments 1-13" (70 minutes)—general overview of the importance of IP practices to protect clients and healthcare workers and 13 training demonstration segments showing detailed steps of recommended practices and instrument processing.
